Mrs. Funmilayo Oghogho Imuetinyan (Nee Lawani) hails from Urubi, Benin City, Edo State. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in English, a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), and has received extensive in-house trainings in Media and Public Relations. Mrs. Imuetinyan commenced her civil service career in November 1991.

Throughout her career, she has held various key roles, including serving as a Correspondent in the Edo State Government Press Crew, Secretary of the Edo State FERMA Publicity Committee, and Publicity Secretary for the Committee of Heads of Federal Government Establishments (COHEADS) in Edo State.

Her notable positions also include Head of Centre at the Federal Information Centre in Benin City and Head of Press and Public Relations in both the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and the Federal Ministry of Water Resources in Abuja
